From the beginning.

The whole history of my life isn’t important but let’s get to know each other with a few stories. Birth order, growing up in the country and loss. That covers the first two decades or so.

Birth Order: I am the oldest of four. My middle siblings (twins) were only nineteen months younger than me. They were a surprise. Well, not the baby part, but the twin part.

Being effortless.
San Clemente, California heading into a surf shop. No reason, just wandering around, holding hands. We still do that. He just stopped and looked at me and said “you are just effortless” out of the blue.
Why am I so happy?
Happy. Such a basic word and we use it every day. We all want it. But, how do we get it and keep it? I turned fifty this year and have been reflecting a lot on this subject, obsessively. I have recently realized just how happy I am. Here are some reasons why.
My first post is about walking. It might change your life (the walking, that is).
Stress: I love to walk. No matter where I am in life, walking brings me back to myself. There have been long periods where I get lost and forget this. But I always come back to it. Sometimes I run. I used to run a lot more. But my knees are a little older now. Is there a word for walking and running? Do I call it a walk-run? Yes, I actually do. I head out the door saying "Hey guys, I am going for a walk-run...see ya later."
